The Cornerstone women's soccer team returns to action this week, hoping to notch wins in WHAC play. Beginning the week with a 1-1 record, Cornerstone will play games at Lawrence Tech on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Aquinas on Saturday at 12 p.m.
A Look at Cornerstone
The Golden Eagles (9-2, 1-1 WHAC) are looking improve on their 1-1 record in WHAC competition. This past Wednesday, Cornerstone dropped a 4-1 decision against Indiana Tech but evened their conference record at 1-1 with a win against Concordia.
Lawrence Tech at a Glance
Lawrence Tech (2-7, 0-2 WHAC) is coming of a tough 1-0 road loss to Marygrove College, this past Wednesday. The Blue Devils are led by Lisa Zaffina with five goals and 10 points.
Sneak Peek at Aquinas
Prior to its Saturday meeting with Cornerstone, Aquinas (5-7, 1-2 WHAC) faces off with WHAC leader Davenport on Wednesday. The Saints are currently 20th nationally in the Total Goals category (38) and are individually led by Melissa Hogan with seven goals, two assists, and 16 points. The Saints have recorded three shutouts this season.
