The NAIA announced the 2012 NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athletes in both men's and women's basketball.  The Golden Eagles placed 3 student athletes on the scholar athlete team and they were; Alexa Hensler (Waterford, Mich.), Samantha Flietstra (Walker, Mich.) and Ashley Moon (Fremont, Mich.)  Student athletes must academically be a junior or senior and carry a 3.5 cumlative GPA or higher.  

Derek Kingshott (Zeeland, Mich.) was named a Daktronics Scholar Athlete for the Cornerstone men's basketball team.
