The Golden Eagles started the day off well by defeating Finlandia 5-0 in the opening game of the double header.  Madison Bucilla led the Golden Eagles going 3 for 3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI's in the game.  Jenna Weightman went 2 for 4 at the plate, scored a run and had an RBI for Cornerstone. Heidi Warmelink scattered six hits from the circle and pitched the first shut-out of the season for the Golden Eagles. 

The Golden Eagles went down 5-1 in the second game of the double head but rallied with 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and then 3 more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Lions 7-5.  Madison Bucilla hit a two run walk-off home run to cap off the inning.  Nine different Golden Eagles had one hit each in the game.  Heidi Warmelink got the win coming in to blank the Lions in the top of the seventh and getting three runs of support in the bottom of the seventh inning.
