Game 1
The Golden Eagles gave up two runs in the first inning but settled down after that but they just couldn't get the offense going. Rachel Doornbos scattered 5 hit giving up just one more run through the remainder of the game. Kathy DeYoung led off with a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to give the Golden Eagles their only run of the game. Jenna Weightman had two of Cornerstone's four hits in the game.

Game 2
The Golden Eagles opened the second game with a run in the first inning. Jenna Weightman opened the game with a home run to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead but the Cougars responded with one of their own in the bottom half of the inning. St. Xavier took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the second scoring three runs on two hits and two errors. Heidi Warmelink led off the sixth inning with a home run to make it 4-2 but the Cougars scored one in the bottom of the sixth to get the lead back to three (5-2) and that is how the game ended.

Cornerstone will face Robert Morris tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. CST.
