Murphy Heyer is a 5'11" Outside Hitter from Rockford High School, Rockford, Michigan.  Murphy was a three year starter and selected as All-State both her junior and senior years at Rockford.  Murphy was also selected as All-Region and All-Conference for two years in the OK Red.  In 2011, her team won the MHSAA Class A State Championship (the first in Rockford history)! 

Murphy played club at Michigan Volleyball Academy at the National level in 2009, 2010, and 2012. In 2011, Murphy played for the Dead Frog/Far Out National combined team. In 2009, Murphy helped lead MVA 15-1 team to win JVDA National Championship!

Family and friends are very important to Murphy. Her parents are Tim and Mary Jo Heyer and she has a younger brother, Jayden (16). Murphy plans to major in Kinesiology at Cornerstone University. Two interesting facts about Murphy are that her socks never match and she loves to run. Murphy was recruited by D1 and D2 schools but chose Cornerstone University because she liked the atmosphere on campus and wanted to stay closer to home. Murphy really likes her future teammates and is excited to be a Golden Eagle!
