The Cornerstone volleyball squad begins its 2012 season by taking on the UM-Dearborn Earlybird Collegiate Challenge Volleyball Tournament. The tournament is on the road and will be hosted by UM-Dearborn located in Dearborn, Mich. The Golden Eagles were successful in the tournament last year by posting wins in all four matches, while only losing one game. The squad looks to be successful again as they take on Indiana University-South Bend and Point Park University today. Game times are scheduled to be at 1:00PM and 5:00PM. On Saturday, they will look to continue their winning streak as they take on Georgetown College at 8:30AM and Trinity Christian at 12:30PM.

A look at Cornerstone

Cornerstone Head Volleyball Coach Ryan Campbell enters his fourth season at the program's helm. In 2009, Campbell was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) "Champions of Character" coach. After posting a 31-5 overall record and 8-1 WHAC record, Ryan and the squad look to continue their winning tradition into the 2012 season.

The Golden Eagles return seven players from last year's squad and addition to its returners, Cornerstone welcomes six newcomers on the roster-Cailie Johnson, Murphy Heyer, Becky Albrecht, Johanna Egerer, Megan Newhouse, and Chelsea Lake.

Upcoming Matches

The Golden Eagles first home match will take place at Mol Arena against Lordes College on September 19 at 7:00PM. Come out and support your Golden Eagles volleyball squad.
