After placing third in round one of WHAC Jamboree #2 on Tuesday, men's golf looked to have a strong outing in round 2 of WHAC Jamboree #2 on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles' score of 309, combined with Tuesday's 315 placed Cornerstone fourth overall in WHAC #2. Cornerstone is now sixth overall in the WHAC leaving them 15 strokes behind Davenport, the current leader.
Leading the Way
Bailey Mathieson is currently in third place overall in the conference through three rounds with an average score of 74.3. The leader of the WHAC is Keith Long form Northwestern Ohio with a 73.5 average.
The team takes a few weeks off from WHAC play when they travel to Jackson, Michigan, to play in the Bill Bockwitz Intercollegiate at Cascade Lakes Golf Club on Sept. 21 and 22.
The Golden Eagles will look to close in on the lead from Davenport when they take to the Fellows Creek Golf course for WHAC Jamboree #3 hosted by Madonna on October 6.
