Cornerstone will travel to Bourbonnais, Illinois, this weekend for the Olivet Nazarene Tournament. The Golden Eagles will face Embry-Riddle and Campbellsville University on Friday at 2 p.m. (EST) and 6 p.m. (EST). On Saturday, Cornerstone will play NCCAA foe, Trevecca Nazarene and Georgetown College. Match times are set for 2:30 p.m. (EST) and 4:30 (EST).  

Soaring with the Eagles

The Golden Eagles (4-1) look to continue their three game win streak coming into this weekend's matches. Cornerstone is recently coming off a sweep of WHAC nemesis, Aquinas College. Cornerstone now holds a 6-2 record in opening matches against WHAC competitors.   

On August 24 and 25, the Golden Eagles competed in the UM-Dearborn Earlybird Collegiate Challenge and came away with a 3-1 record. Ryan Campbell and his squad look to leave this weekend's tournament with a winning record. 

Cornerstone ranks fourth nationally in assists per game (13.210) and ninth in kills per game (13.840). Individually, Kim Weaver ranks third nationally and leads the WHAC in assists per game (11.840). Abby Miedema is currently 18th in the nation and first in the WHAC with (5.530) digs per game. Senior Becky Albrecht is third in the WHAC for her hitting percentage (.305).
