After finishing 8-3 in conference play, the Cornerstone volleyball squad finished fourth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and are the number four seed heading into this weekend's league tournament.  Madonna claimed the regular season volleyball title and the first WHAC automatic bid to the NAIA Nationals after posting a 10-1 league record.  With the top spot, Madonna will host the quarterfinals, semis, and championship on Nov. 9-10. 

Cornerstone will receive a bye in the first round to join Madonna (1), Davenport (2), and Indiana Tech (3) in the quarterfinals.  The Golden Eagles will face the winner of Wednesday's 7 p.m. match when UNOH (5) and Marygrove (12) square off.  Cornerstone will play Friday, Nov. 9 at 2:15 p.m. 

Last year, Cornerstone was stunned by Siena Heights in their second pool play match of the conference tournament.  The Golden Eagles are eager to get back to the hard court for redemption from the 2011 campaign. 

The winner of the conference tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship.  Should Madonna also win the tournament, the tournament runner-up receives an automatic bid.  Follow the Golden Eagles journey through the tournament on the WHAC website.  CLICK HERE for all results and updates.  View the WHAC tournament bracket as a PDF.
