Cornerstone hosted Rochester College on Tuesday night while Head Coach Katie Mattera picked up her first win at Mol Arena. The Golden Eagles grabbed the early lead (9-2) on a Janae Trombley shot in the paint at 9:30 on the clock. The Rochester Warriors were not going to go away easily pulling within two points (16-14) off a two point shot in the paint by Ke'ala Ka'aikala. Cornerstone grabbed a larger lead heading into the first half with a 22-17 lead. Cornerstone led by as much as 13 points during the second half with 8:45 to play in the game. Cornerstone continued to dominate play to a 49-37 win for the Golden Eagles. With the win, Cornerstone improves to 2-1 while Rochester drops to 1-2 overall.
The Golden Eagles travels to Spring Arbor University on Friday. Tip off set for 7 p.m.
