The No. 20 Cornerstone men's basketball team steps back on to the court, Saturday afternoon, to take on their first WHAC opponent University of Northwestern Ohio. The contest marks the sixth meeting between the two teams with Cornerstone holding an undefeated 5-0 record against the Racers of UNOH. Tip off for the game will be at 3 p.m. following the women's basketball game at 1 p.m.

Cornerstone At A Glance
The Cornerstone men's basketball team opened their season by hosting the WHAC/CL Challenge (Crossroads League, formerly the Mid-Central College Conference) Nov. 9-10 and emerged with a 2-0 record after defeating Spring Arbor University 66-56, and Indiana Wesleyan University 69-65.
Against Spring Arbor, the Cougars jumped out to an early 8-0 lead, but with 11:42 left in the half Cornerstone rallied behind co-captain Wes Hudson and eventually entered the locker room trailing 34-29 at the half. After the break, Cornerstone took the lead on a Hudson layup and never looked back as they held the lead for the remainder of the game. Hudson led the team with 19 points while co-captain Derek Kingshott posted a team-high eight rebounds.
A day later against Indiana Wesleyan, Kingshott posted both a game- and career-high 26 points while Jake Plite grabbed seven rebounds for Cornerstone. The Golden Eagles closed out the first half with a 37-28 lead, only to see the Wildcats slowly climb back into the game during the second half, trailing by one with 53 seconds remaining. Hudson came up big again for Cornerstone with a critical reverse layup followed by two free throws on the next play to seal the victory for Cornerstone.
Scouting the Racers
After a dominanting 105-42 performance against Ohio State University-Lima on November 7. The Racers, 2-1, come to Cornerstone to continue their scoring streak and improve on their winning record.
University of Northwestern Ohio finished 2-16 in conference play last year, placing them ninth out of ten teams in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. The Racers will look to improve on their results from last year. The Racers are led by Blake Bush's 22.3 PPG this season while Aaron Cross and Johnny Elliott both are posting 5.7 RPG. As a whole, UNOH have outscored their opponents 269-215 during the 2012-2013 campaign.
Cornerstone will travel to No. 11 Davenport University to continue action in conference play on Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
