GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles faced a tough Marygrove team today and they led from start to finish but the Mustangs just would not go away.  Cornerstone jumped out to a 12-5 lead in the first 5:14 of the game.  The Mustangs responded with a 7-2 run over the next four minutes to bring the score to 14-12..  The Golden Eagles would extend the lead to as high as 13 points (37-24) but would settle for a 37-29 halftime lead going into the locker room.  The Mustangs would play almost even with the Golden Eagles in the second half of play as CU outscored Marygrove 43-43 in the closing period.  The Mustangs drew to within 7 points late in the half but would end with an  80-71 win for the Golden Eagles.  Jake Plite recorded his first double double of the season scoring 11 points to go with his 13 rebounds.  Cornerstone improves to 3-1 in the WHAC and 6-2 overall.
