(Grand Rapids, Mich.) The Golden Eagles took a 3-1 lead into the fourth inning but the Saints exploded for 14 runs in the last three innings to go on to defeat Cornerstone 15-4 in Game 1. Melanie Creager went 1 for 3, scored twice, and had an RBI for the Golden Eagles. Tahni Bruno went 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI. Five other players had one hit each for Cornerstone.

The Golden Eagles bounced back in Game 2 with a solid pitching performance from Madison Bucilla. Bucilla scattered 7 hits and pitched a complete game for the Golden Eagles. The Saints scored 2 runs in the third inning and that would be all they would need for the 2-1 victory. Bucilla had an RBI single in the fourth inning for Cornerstone. The Golden Eagles drop to 4-6 in the WHAC. Cornerstone will play host to Aquinas again tomorrow in another double header. Aquinas will be the home team but Cornerstone is hosting the game because Aquinas' field is under construction and they could not secure another field for the games.
