(Kentwood, Mich.) The Golden Eagles travelled over to Davenport this afternoon and found that their bats were as cold as the front that passed through earlier in the day. Cornerstone started off with a run in the first inning of Game 1on a Melanie Creager RBI double. Cornerstone would not score the rest of the game. Elayna Citko went 2 for 3 with a run scored for the Golden Eagles. Four players (Tahni Bruno, Melanie Creager, Madison Bucilla, and Beth Wyckoff collect 1 hit each in the game. The Panthers did most of their damage in the fourth inning scoring 4 of their 7 runs at that time. Kaycee Kuiper took the loss for the Golden Eagles.

The Panther's Breanna Carpenter pitched a 1-hitter in Game 2. Jessica Kuhlman got the only hit for Cornerstone. Davenport score 4 runs in the first inning and 2 runs in each of the third and fourth innings. Dinah Gruppen took the loss for the Golden Eagles. Cornerstone drops to 4-10 in the WHAC and will host 5th place Indiana Tech tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
