
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that a total of 256 men's soccer student-athletes have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athletes. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
Five Golden Eagles (David DeBoer) - Senior Defender from Grand Rapids, MI, (Ben Hanson) - Senior Defender from Lowell, MI, (Jim Hughes) - Senior Midfielder from Ann Arbor, MI, (Matt Kunnen) - Senior Forward from Comstock Park, MI, and (Aaron Musser) - Senior Defender from Madrid, Spain have all qualified for the honor.
