The Cornerstone men's and women's soccer programs will be hosting a unique global fundraising event in hopes of bringing awareness and resources to help purchase bed nets to help stop the spread of malaria in sub-Saharan Africa
On Saturday, September 25 the men's soccer team will host Concordia University (Mich.) at 12pm and the women will host Huntington University (Ind.) at 2:30pm and all proceeds from the event will go directly to purchasing bed nets. The teams are working with World Vision and hope to raise $3000 or more which would purchase 500 bed nets which would help save and improve the lives and futures of over 1,000 children. Help spread the word. Click on the link below for more information. You can also click on the second link to read a blog about the event by Chip Huber, staff member in spiritual formation, who is working with the soccer teams to make this happen.
