(Spring Arbor, Mich.) Cornerstone opened up today's game with Roberts Wesleyan much better and created quite a few good chances in the first half of play. Cornerstone was a little bit unlucky not to get a goal in the first half. They just could put together the last pass to create a great shot on goal. The 2nd half took a bit of a turn when Roberts Wesleyan got on the board in the 62nd minute of play. The Golden Eagles had to withstand a bit of pressure in the next 10 minutes after the goal. Cornerstone regained its composure and created some more good chances but could never find a way to get the ball in the net. The Golden Eagles outshot Roberts Wesleyan 18-16 and put 9 on frame compared to 5 for them. Cornerstone drops to 0-2 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 1st at 4:00 when they travel to Holland, MI to take on Hope College.
