The Golden Eagles took the field on a rain soaked day and came away with a 5-1 win over Robert Morris (Ill.) this afternoon. Nic Tolsma
started things off for Cornerstone scoring off of a Matt Osorio
corner kick. Tolsma headed home the first goal in the 18th minute of play. Robert Morris tied the score at 1-1 on a Penalty Kick in the 25th minute. Kurt Bareham scored his first goal of the season in the 33rd minute on a free kick to put the Golden Eagles up 2-1. Jake Stanko added another goal six minutes later on a Chris Wisen
assist. The Golden Eagles went into the half with a 3-1 lead. Nic Tolsma
added his 2nd goal of the day in the 68th minute with an assist from Stanko. Richard Moylan
scored his first goal as a Golden Eagle in the 82nd minute on a Penalty Kick to give Cornerstone a 5-1 win. Cornerstone outshot Robert Morris 17-9 on the day. The Golden Eagles will return to action next Saturday when they travel down south to play Covenant College (Ga.). That game will kick off at 1:00 p.m.
