The Golden Eagles made the long trip to Lookout Mountain, Ga. to take on NCAA Division III Covenant College this afternoon and came away with a 3-0 loss to the Scots.  The Golden Eagles got a bad start conceding a Penalty Kick in the 2nd minute of play to go down 1-0.  The Scots pressed the Golden Eagles defense throughout the first half out shooting Cornerstone 11-2 in the opening period of play.  Cornerstone did much better in the 2nd half creating a lot more chances but they couldn't convert any of them into goals.  The Scots made it 2-0 in the 60th minute and then added another in the 86th minute to make the final score 3-0 for the game.  Cornerstone outshot Covenant 14-8 in the second half.  The Golden Eagles drop to 2-4-1 on the season.  Cornerstone will return to action on Tuesday when they play Cedarville at 3:00 in the first game of a mid-week double header with the women's team.  The women will play Goshen College at 5:00 p.m.  There will be a free concert after the women's game with Trinidad & Tobago Urban Ministries Steel Drum Band.
