(Lima, Ohio) CU traveled to Lima Ohio to play new WHAC member Northwestern Ohio in their third straight day of conference play. After winning a draining 5 set match over Siena Heights on Friday night the Golden Eagles found themselves on the losing end of Saturday's 5 set match against the Racers. The match was a see-saw battle throughout with UNOH winning game one 25-23, CU taking game two 27-25, UNOH took the third 25-20 and the Golden Eagles forced the tie-breaker with a 25-18 win. The Racers took a 4-1 early lead in the 5th set that they would never relinquish closing the match with a 15-9 decision.
Megan April and Alicia TerHaar led the team with 11 kills apiece. Neither team hit over .200 with CU coming in at .197 on 52 kills on 137 attempts and UNOH finished with a .179 hitting percentage with 53 kills on 140 attempts. The Racers posted 8 service aces to CU's 3 and out-blocked CU 9 to 7.5. The Golden Eagles are now 8-13 overall and 2-3 in the WHAC.
