The Golden Eagles did not shoot well (28.2% from the field) in the first half and trailed for most of the half but did take a 28-27 lead with 35 seconds on the clock on a Melissa Veltkamp 2 point shot. Mel Veltkamp scored 7 straight points to close the first half with a CU lead 31-28.  The Golden Eagles made a 14-0 run to start the second half and then maintained a double digit lead for the remainder of the half. Cornerstone shot 50% (14-28) in the second half while limiting the Crusaders to just 21.4% shooting from the floor in the half as they cruised to a 63-46 victory over Madonna.
