(Marion, Ind.) Junior Kris Shear earned All-American honors in the 5000 Meter Race Walk today by clocking a 23:16.44 in the event. Shear finished 4^th overall in the event. Inaki Gomez of British Columbia repeated as the champion of the event with a time of 20:30.35.

Josh Wiseman of Cedarville, Ohio finished 2^nd with a time of 21:05.22 and Mike Manozzi of Notre Dame, Ohio finished 3^rd at 23:04.50.

Shear earned 5 more points for the Golden Eagles and put Cornerstone in 6^th overall after 5 events. Cornerstone would finish the day in 13^th overall after 11 events scored.

In other action, Jake Erickson set a personal record in the 400 Meter with a time of 48.18, but just missed advancing to the finals. Erickson finished 10^th in the event that has 9 finalists.

The 4 x 400 Meter Relay team (Zach Yeo, Adam Duerksen, Jeff Burd, and Jake Erickson) ran a school record, but were disqualified for running out of their lane.
