GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early (15-4) lead tonight against Concordia but the Cardinals would fight back to tie the score at 16-16 with 4:50 remaining in the half. The Golden Eagles led again briefly before Concordia hit a 3-pointer to take a 21-20 lead with 3:03 on the clock. Cornerstone would take a 28-26 lead with :04 second left on the clock on a field goal by Samantha Flietstra. The teams would trade leads early in the 2nd half of play. Cornerstone's Ellisha Crosby made 2 foul shots to give the Golden Eagles a 40-39 lead with 11:23 left in the game. Catherine Herriman would respond with a 3-pointer to give Concordia a lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. Cornerstone did tie the score at 57-57 on two foul shots by Melissa Veltkamp with :33 seconds. Concordia's Brittany Simmons made a 2-point shot with :07 left on the clock. Cornerstone turned the ball over and had to foul with :01 left on the clock. Concordia made the first and missed the 2nd and the clock ran out with Concordia on top 60-57.
