GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles gave #1 Davenport all they could handle this afternoon but they came up just short in a 56-61 loss to the Panthers. The first half featured 6 ties and 2 lead changes with the biggest lead (CU 23-DU 19) coming with 2:23 left on the clock. Cornerstone finished the half with a 23-21 lead. The Panthers came out in the 2^nd half and pressure the Golden Eagles into some early turnovers and they took their first lead of the half (26-25) with 16:19 on the clock. Davenport kept that lead and built the lead to as much as 10 points (46-36) with 7:44 remaining. It appeared that Davenport might blow out Cornerstone at that point but they responded with a 2-point shot and a couple of 3-pointers to cut the lead to 46-44 in just 1:12 seconds. The Golden Eagles went on to tie the game at 49, 51, and 55 but they were never able to retake the lead as Davenport went on to a 61-56 victory.
