Game 1 - Cornerstone University (0) Davenport University (15) in 5 innings

The Panthers bats caught fire in the third breaking a 0-0 tie scoring 8 runs.Four batters homered in the third.Short stop Heather Brusokas hit two home runs in the game and three other Panthers each had one homerun.DU added two more runs in the 4^th and finished the game scoring 5 runs in the fifth.Tahni Bruno was the only Golden Eagle to record two hits while three others had one hit.The Panthers had 14 hits and 15 RBI's.Freshman Heidi Warmelink took the loss and struck out one batter while Sam Cole was the winning pitcher and struck out 10 batters.Davenport won the first game 15-0 in five innings.

Game 2 - Cornerstone University (3) Davenport University (4)

Davenport opened the second game but scoring one run on two Golden Eagles errors.Cornerstone was unable to answer in the bottom of the first but kept the Panthers scoreless over the next three innings.With the score at 1-0 in Davenport favor the Panthers had four hits and scored 3 more runs to take a 4-0 lead.The bottom of the 6^th inning CU answered with 3 runs and 3 hits.Tahni Bruno had a double to score two runners Kathy DeYoung and Rachel Gruppen.Warmelink hit a sacrifice fly ball out to centerfield to score Bruno and tightened the score to 4-3 heading into the 7^th inning.Neither team was able to score or get on base in the 7^th so the final score was 4-3 in favor of the Panthers.Madison Bucilla took the loss striking out one batter.Brianna Carpenter was the winning pitcher and had 5 strikeouts.
The Panthers improved to 8-0 in the WHAC and 21-12 overall while the Golden Eagles fall to 2-4 in the WHAC and 11-9 overall.

Cornerstone will host UM-Dearborn on Friday, April 8th in a double-header starting at 4pm.
