Game 1 - Cornerstone University (6) Siena Heights University (4) in 8 innings

The Golden Eagles scored two runs in the first inning on RBI's by Heidi Warmelink and Madison Bucilla but the Saints responded with two of their own in the third inning to tie the score at 2-2. Cornerstone went up 3-2 in the bottom of the inning when Heidi Warmelink doubled in Tahni Bruno. Madison Bucilla was cruising on the mound until the top of the sixth when the Saints got a home run and a hard hit double to take a 4-3 lead. The Golden Eagles went into the seventh inning down 4-3. The Saints pitcher (Katie O'Hotzke) dropped a routine pop fly to start the seventh inning to allow Jessica Kuhlman to reach first base. Kuhlman advanced to second base on a wild pitch. Tahni Bruno had a sacrifice bunt to advance Kuhlman to third. Melanie Creager cranked a long ball over the fence but just foul before striking out to bring Cornerstone down to their last out. Heidi Warmelink hit a shot to the short stop who bobbled the ball and Warmelink beat the throw to allow Kuhlman to score the tying run. Kuhlman then hit a 2-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the eighth to win the game for the Golden Eagles. Madison Bucilla improved to 5-3 on the season with the win.

Game 2 - Cornerstone University (3) Siena Heights University (2)

The Golden Eagles went down 2-0 in the second inning of Game 2 but responded with two of their own in the bottom of the third inning. Lauren Pasciak started off the inning with a double. Jessica Kuhlman followed up with an RBI double to make it 2-1. Kuhlman advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on an error to make it 2-2. Kuhlman opened the fifth inning with a double and then scored on a Heidi Warmelink hit to give Cornerstone the 3-2 lead. Neither team scored in the last two innings as Cornerstone defeated the Saints 3-2 in Game 2. Jessica Kuhlman led the Golden Eagles going 2 for 3 with 2 runs and an RBI. Heidi Warmelink pitched five hitter and improved to 7-5 on the season. Cornerstone improved to 13-9 overall and 4-4 in the WHAC.
