(Marion, Ind.) The Golden Eagles competed for the first time at Indiana Wesleyan's fine indoor facility at the IWU January Classic, winning three events and adding another national qualifying mark.

The meet starting with the seldom run 4 x 200 relay. Since it was dropped from the conference championship, Cornerstone had not run it since they won the event at the 2004 WHAC meet. Trailing the host team after the first two legs by Jimmy Russ and John Klupp, a great exchange from Adam Duerksen to Kurtis Koffkey resulted in a come from behind victory in 1:33.84.

Jake Erickson won the 400 Meter Dash by nearly a full second, improving his NAIA provisional mark to 49.80. Freshman 400 meter runner, Zach Yeo made his debut at 600 meters, leading the race for 598 meters before getting passed by Nathan Kirsch of Taylor. Yeo's time of 1:23.13 puts him fourth on the CU all-time list.

Cornerstone concluded the meet with nearly a seven second win in the 4 x 400 meters. Koffkey, Yeo, Duerksen and Erickson ran an NAIA provisional qualifying 3:23.81 ahead of Siena Heights in 3:30.04.
