The Golden Eagles pressured Concordia for most of the game but they didn't get on the board until the 74th minute of play today as they defeated Concordia 1-0. Isaac Grotenhuis
got loose in the box and was taken down by a Cardinal defender and the referee awarded the Golden Eagles a penalty kick. Matt Osorio
drove the ball into the left side of the goal and the goalkeeper went right and Cornerstone rode that out for the win. Concordia did have one chance before the end of the game but the ball bounced off the crossbar and was cleared by the defense. Cornerstone improves to 4-0 in the WHAC and has 2 huge games remaining both of which are on the road. Cornerstone will play at Davenport on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. A win at Davenport would secure the regular season title for the Golden Eagles.
