Women's Basketball - Mon, Nov. 28, 2011
Sophomore Katelyn Cousins led Cornerstone to a convincing victory to earn Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) honors as the Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
The Ada, Mich. guard connected on 66.7% of her shots (8-of-12), including 6-for-7 behind the three-point line, in Cornerstone's 78-53 win over Olivet (Mich.). Cousins played in just 24 minutes and finished with five rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a career-high 25 points. It's the first time this year she scored in double digits.
Cornerstone sits at 4-4 and opens conference play against Northwestern Ohio on Nov. 30.
