The Golden Eagles got a slow start scoring only 19 points on 9 of 26 shooting from the field in the first half of play. The Bobcats made 15 of their 37 shots in the first half and grabbed 11 more rebounds than Cornerstone as they scored 34 points.

GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles started out very slow today in Florida against St. Thomas University. Katelyn Cousins made a 3-pointer to give Cornerstone a 3-0 lead but that would be their only lead of the game as St. Thomas would gradually pull away from the Golden Eagles throughout the first half of play. Cornerstone would keep it close (11-15) through the first 10 minutes of but the Bobcats outscored the Golden Eagles 19-8 over the last 9:28 of the half to take a 34-19 lead at the break. St. Thomas pushed the lead to 20 points (41-21) with 16:09. Cornerstone cut the lead to 19 points (29-48) with 8:02 but the Bobcats would not allow the Golden Eagles any closer to that. St. Thomas built the lead to as many as 29 points (66-37) with 2:38 remaining and would finish with a 66-44 win over Cornerstone.
