GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles went down on the first basket of the game and trailed for most of the game tonight against the Crusaders of Madonna. Madonna made a 19-9 run in the first 5:44 of the game. Cornerstone responded with a 10-4 run to cut the lead to 4 points with 10:51 left in the half. Madonna quickly extended the lead back to double digits (32-22) with 8:31 on the clock and would maintain a fairly comfortable lead through the remainder of the half. Madonna led 47-40 at the half. Cornerstone would cut the lead to 47-45 early in the half but Madonna would respond to get back into double digits and would keep it there until 5:48 left in the game. Cornerstone looked to be out of the game but they made 12-2 run to tie the game at 80-80 with about 15 seconds on the clock. Madonna pushed the ball up the court and converted a layup to go up 82-80 with about 6 seconds on the clock. Wes Hudson would drive to the basket but a Crusader got his hand on the ball and knocked it loose and Cornerstone never got off a good shot at the clock expired.
