GULF SHORES, Ala. - Day one of the 2018 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Nationals is in the books and Cornerstone had a solid day, highlighted by All-American honors from freshman
Alexis McConnell in the 10,000m. Day two will feature the completion of the Heptathlon as well as the Women's 4x800, Men's 5,000m, Men's and Women's Racewalk and Triple Jump.

- 100m hurdles - 15.92 - 724 points
- High Jump - 1.53m - 655 points
- Shot Put - 9.37 - 488 points
- 200m - 25.41 - 850 points
Hammer Throw - Gabriela Wittenbach
- High throw of 49.18 in her final event
Long Jump - Shaina DenBesten
- High mark of 5.09m - her first trip to NAIA Nationals
Women's 4x800 - Val Richter, Amanda Sorokin, Ally Rabe, Sierra Albus
- Finished 8th to advance to finals with a time of 9:20.12
- will race Friday for All-American honors
Men's 4x800 - Zach Feldpausch, Nate Silvey, Kevin Vroegh, Joey DeBoer
- Finished 16th - 7:44.04
Women's 10,000m - Alexis McConnell
- Finished 7th for her first Outdoor All-American honors
