GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-American teams were announced for baseball on Monday, June 4 and senior second baseman
Jon Stewart was named a Second Team Academic All-American for the second consecutive season. Stewart concluded his four-year career at Cornerstone just over a month ago, helping the Golden Eagles to their first ever winning season at 25-23 while also being named All-WHAC Second Team for the first time in his career.
"I am really thankful to have gone to a college where I could both pursue my athletic and academic dreams as outlets to bring God glory for what he has given me. I had to always keep in mind that baseball was a love and a passion, but my academics were a foundation for my future career. Designating certain times during the day for each activity I wanted to accomplish proved beneficial for me in accomplishing my goals at Cornerstone." –
