The defense then came up with some solid plays to send the match into halftime with CU leading 1-0.
Cornerstone struck quickly again in the second half as Morgan Haddad took a through ball from Ashton Gossett (FR/Hudsonville, Mich.) and lofted it over the keeper's head to up the lead to 2-0. Concordia did threaten late in the second but CU keeper, Allison Snowden (SO/Kalamazoo, Mich.), was there to keep the score sheet clean for the Golden Eagles.
With the win, Snowden improves to 4-1-2 in goal.
CU will hit the road for their next two matches beginning with Lawrence Tech on Wednesday in Southfield.
