ADRIAN, Mich. – Sophomore forward Mari Bugg posted a career high 11 points while Jill Hendrickson led the way with 14 points and 17 rebounds but it was not enough to pull the road upset as Cornerstone fell 65-55 to No. 16 Siena Heights. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 4-3 on the year while they are now 2-2 in league play. CU returns to action at Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Marion.

Game Flow
Cornerstone held a lead for most of the opening seven minutes but after leading 10-7 on a layup from Ellery Mast, the Golden Eagles saw the host Saints use a 9-0 run to open a 16-10 lead and it would be one they would never relinquish. The Saints led by eight at the break, 31-23, that saw CU hit only 34% of their shots.

SHU then scored the first four points in the second half to up the margin to 12 and eventually led by 16 (43-27). Cornerstone did no go quietly however as they used their own 11-4 spurt highlighted by points from five different players to cut the lead to just nine but the Saints hit their free-throws down the stretch to post the 10-point win

Say What?
"Coming off the bench, I thought Mari played very well for us tonight. She is coming back from an injury and is still trying to find her rhythm but she gave us great energy, hit a three-pointer, and gave us a chance to win a tough road game." – Head coach Katie Mattera
