SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Golden Eagles used a late first half run to open a 6-point lead at the break as they posted a 69-64 win at Spring Arbor on Tuesday evening. Game Flow
The Golden Eagles battled most of the first half without leading scorer and rebounder Jill Hendrickson (JR/Ada, Mich.) who was in foul trouble but after trailing 15-12, CU used a 21-12 run to close out the first twenty minutes to lead 33-27. Tanner Hostetler (JR/Archbold, Ohio) stuffed the stat sheet in the opening half as the junior posted a team best in points (6), rebounds (6) and assists (5).
Early in the second, the host Cougars made the score tight but then another big run by CU gave the Golden Eagles some cushion and it came behind the strong inside game of Hendrickson who scored 11 second half points to help post the win.
