GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Cornerstone women's basketball team got back on the winning track on Wednesday as they posted a 70-50 win over visiting Michigan-Dearborn. Cornerstone saw seven different players post at least six points in the win as they improve to 5-4 on the season and 3-2 in the WHAC. CU will host No. 2 Davenport on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Game Flow
The Golden Eagle defense was the story in the opening half as they did not allow the Wolverines to score for the first four minutes and held them under 10 for the first 13 minutes. The offense slowly came for the home team as they opened a 16-point (34-18) lead at halftime.

The lead grew in the first few minutes of the second but UM-Dearborn would not go away getting the lead down to 11 on two different occasions but that would be as close as they would get with Cornerstone posting the 20-point win.

Say What?
"Obviously we needed a win to boost our confidence after a pair of tough losses to Siena Heights and Indiana Wesleyan. We were balanced on offense and our post players did a great job of making their presence felt. We also did a great job rebounding on the offensive end to get ready for a tough game on Saturday against Davenport." – Sophomore Emma Lockhart (SO/Reed City, Mich.)

By the Numbers
59 – Total number of rebounds for the Golden Eagles – UM-Dearborn had just 38

7 – Assists for Emma Lockhart – tying the single game high for CU (Tanner Hostetler (JR/Archbold, Ohio) had seven against UNOH)

10 – Rebounds for Ellery Mast (FR/Zeeland, Mich.) – a career high for the freshman – who also added nine points

24 – Turnovers for the Golden Eagles – it's the third straight game with at least 20 and sixth time through nine game for CU
