Cornerstone drops 1-0 decision to Northwestern Ohio

Box Score

(Lima, Ohio)  The Golden Eagles opened up WHAC play today at the University of Northwestern Ohio.  Cornerstone entered the game with a 5-0-2 record while UNOH entered the game with a 6-0-1 record.  The Golden Eagles played a tough first half keeping the Racers off the scoreboard.  The Racers dominated possession in the first half of play but the Golden Eagles kept them from getting quality chances and Allison Snowden made a nice save late in the half to keep a clean sheet.  The Racers did break the ice early in the second half scoring in the first minute of play to put Northwestern Ohio up 1-0.  The Golden Eagles responded with some good play after that doing a much better job of keeping the ball and creating more in the attack.  Cornerstone battled to the end but couldn't find the back of the net and ended with a 1-0 loss.  Cornerstone will returns to action on Wednesday night when they play Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne at 7:00 p.m.
