GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Cornerstone women's basketball team made the best of their five-game stretch without having to leave Grand Rapids as they picked up an 82-58 victory over Concordia on Saturday afternoon. The win, which gives CU a season sweep of the Cardinals, lifts them to 14-6 on the year and 9-3 in the conference. Cornerstone will hit the road for their next three games beginning Wednesday at UM-Dearborn.

Game Flow
Concordia came into the game with just two conference wins and three overall but they were the aggressor early as they scored 12 of the first 18 points to lead 12-6. CU however responded with a 17-7 run to take a 23-19 lead and they would continue to increase it throughout the half, leading 38-30 at the break.

The opening eight minutes of the second were very similar to how the first closed with the Golden Eagles outscoring the Cardinals 23-9 to build their largest lead to that point at 61-39. Concordia did make a small spurt to keep things interesting but Cornerstone held off their visitors with the double-digit win.
