GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Tanner Hostetler (JR/Archbold, Ohio) has had some of her best games this year at Mol Arena and she did it once again on Saturday as the junior posted a team leading 18 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead Cornerstone to a 71-64 victory over Lawrence Tech. The win lifts CU to 10-6 on the year and 5-3 in the WHAC. The Golden Eagles will be at home on Wednesday, January 7 when they host Indiana Tech at 5:30 p.m.

Game Flow
The Golden Eagles controlled most of the first half and had a double-digit lead for a majority of the time leading by as many as 12 (26-14) but the Blue Devils closed out the half on a 10-4 run to trail by only six, 30-24. Tanner Hostetler led the offensive attack for CU as she posted nine points in the opening 20 minutes.

LTU continued their strong run into the second as they used a 10-4 run to tie the game at 34 forcing head coach Katie Mattera into a timeout.  CU responded with their own run and got the lead back up to five at 46-41 with just under eight minutes to play. The lead stayed on the Golden Eagles side from there on in, only getting below three on one occasion with CU posting the victory.

Cornerstone will stay at home for their next two games next week as they host Indiana Tech on Wednesday at 5:30 before welcoming in Marygrove on Saturday at 1 p.m.
