SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Cornerstone held a 4-point lead at the break and a 2-point lead after three quarters but the host Blue Devils outscored CU 23-11 in the final frame to send the Golden Eagles to a 67-57 loss. The setback is the second straight for Cornerstone after starting the WHAC slate with back to back wins as they are 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the league. CU will be off until Wednesday, December 2 when they host Aquinas.

Game Flow
The host Blue Devils came into the game undefeated on the season and looking for their first win ever over Cornerstone and they jumped out to a big lead early on only to see CU climb back to within 17-13 at the break. Cornerstone continued their run into the second quarter as Emma Lockhart (JR/Reed City, Mich.) gave CU their first lead on a pair of free-throws and Taylor Richards (FR/Fruitport, Mich.) scored four in a run to put CU up four (30-26) at the break.

Cornerstone controlled most of the play in the third quarter and had a 10-point lead but a late LTU run cut the margin to just two after three quarters. The Blue Devils did what CU did in the first and continued their run into the fourth and eventually posted the 10-point win as they outscored the Golden Eagles 23-11 in the final 10 minutes.
