Season closes with 5-0 setback at No. 2 UNOH

LIMA, Ohio – Looking to pull a huge upset in the semifinals of the WHAC Tournament, the Cornerstone women's soccer team was unable to overcome the No. 2 ranked Racers of Northwestern Ohio as they fell 5-0. CU concludes the season with an overall record of 13-7.



Game Flow…
After falling to the Racers 1-0 in the regular season, Cornerstone entered with high hopes of advancing to the WHAC final next Saturday but after a PK goal in just the 11', CU found themselves fighting from behind.

The score would remain until halftime but the Racers exploded for four in the closing 45 minutes – all coming in a 23-minute span to send Cornerstone home with the loss.

 

Inside the Box…
- Cornerstone was outshot 22-5 (13-2 on goal)
- Allison Snowden (JR/Kalamazoo, Mich.) made eight saves in net
