SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Ashley Niedermayer (SR/Lincolnshire, Ill) made her final regular season game in a Golden Eagle uniform big as the senior posted 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Cornerstone to a 58-54 road win at Lawrence Tech. The win lifts CU to 21-9 on the season and 16-6 in league play. CU will host a first round WHAC Tournament game on Wednesday. The official brackets will be released when all games are completed.

Game Flow
An opening basket by Jill Steenwyk (JR/Sparta, Mich.) was a sign of things to come for Cornerstone as they led for the entire 40 minutes despite one tie on the very next possession. The lead would slowly climb in the opening half with the Golden Eagles holding their largest lead of 10 (29-19) on a jumper from Samantha Kolenda (SO/Sparta, Mich.) with just under a minute to play.

The lead continued to grow into the early stages of the second half and after a 3-pointer by Jill Steenwyk at the 15:29 mark. LTU then slowly chipped away at the lead and had it down to just one point with 1:11 to play but the Golden Eagles scored four of the final five points to post the 58-54 win.
