FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Cornerstone trailed by just five points at the break by a poor third quarter led to a big deficit that the Golden Eagles could not climb out of as they fell to Indiana Tech in the WHAC Quarterfinals by a final of 68-58. The loss concludes the 2015-16 campaign with an overall record of 16-14.

The Warriors really turned up the defense in the third quarter as they limited the Golden Eagles to just 10 points until a last second triple from Emma Lockhart (JR/Reed City, Mich.) brought the score to 53-39 after three. Cornerstone, with its season on the line, made a valiant comeback in the fourth quarter as they cut the lead to just three (57-54) on a three-pointer by Jesse Sheridan (FR/Argyle, Texas). That would be as close as they would get however as the Warriors pulled away for the 10-point win.
