ADA, Mich. - Cornerstone stepped out of conference play on Tuesday afternoon and placed sixth at the Lancer Invitational that was hosted by Grace College (Ind.) at Quail Ridge Golf Club here in town. The Golden Eagles fired a season-low 412 team score as they competed against teams from across the region.
The Golden Eagles played their best round of the season on Tuesday as they finished in sixth place at the Lancer Invitational at Quail Ridge Golf Club. Cornerstone posted a 412 team score in a tourney that was won by Siena Heights with a final tally of 331. Following the Saints were Grace (340) and Cleary University (344).
Leading the way for CU was sophomore
Jesse Sheridan who posted a 97. She was followed in scoring by
Claire Niergarth (101),
Whitney Krieger (105) and
Taylor Dean (109).
CU will return to action on September 20-21 when get back to WHAC play at Concordia.
