GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone will hit the road for the first time this season for their final non-conference game against Rochester College on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., followed by the WHAC opener at Lawrence Tech on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. CU will play three of their next four games on the road before returning for a four game home stretch in the middle of October.

History vs. the Warriors
CU has faced off against Rochester College seven times and have yet to be beaten holding a 7-0-0 all time record vs. the Warriors. Cornerstone has scored 28 total goals in those seven appearances and only allowed five, as last time out the Golden Eagles defeated RC 4-0.

Scouting Lawrence Tech
The Blue Devils have begun the season 4-1-0 overall recording their best start through five games in school history. Lawrence Tech averages 3.8 goals per game, as they most recently scored ten in a win over the University of Cincinnati-Clermont. Individually, Lawrence Tech has three powerhouse offensive talents as Ally Nyboer has already recorded 15 points, Tia Lamie has recorded 12, and Nicole Propst has ten. LTU defensively has recorded two shutouts and gives up on average 1.2 goals per game.
History vs. the Blue Devils
Lawrence Tech and Cornerstone have a relatively young history dating back to just 2012. CU is 4-0-0 all time against LTU, recording shutouts in each of the last two matches. The Golden Eagles will travel to Southfield for the third time in their history to open up WHAC play.
Nearing 200
Cornerstone is one win away from their 200th win in program history. The program began in 1997 and head coach
Randy Strawser began his tenure in 2000. Of the 199 all-time wins, 113 of those have come at home, 84 of them on the road, and two on neutral locations.
Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles have kept the hot start going, ending the home stand with a 3-1 victory over Grace Bible College and 2-0 win over Goshen College. The Cornerstone offense continued to shine recording 51 shots in the two games this week with 27 of those being on goal. CU is yet to be defeated as they are 5-0-1 in the early season.
WHAC Opener History
The Golden Eagles are 10-8-1 all-time in WHAC openers, and 9-6-1 in WHAC openers under head coach
Randy Strawser. CU has never faced Lawrence Tech in a conference opener, but they look to rebound after losing their last two season opening WHAC matches.
