Box Score PONTIAC, Mich. – Cornerstone was handed their first loss of the season in the final non-conference game of the 2016 campaign, falling 3-0 on the road to Rochester College. The Golden Eagles, who are now 5-1-1 on the year, will look to get back on the winning track when they travel to Lawrence Tech Saturday afternoon for the first conference game of the year.
Game Flow…
Rochester got off to a hot start against the Golden Eagles as it only took them until the 2' minute to get on the board as Ashlin Taylor scored on an assist from Emily Hall putting Cornerstone in an early 1-0 hole. CU then had another defensive breakdown as Taylor found the net again in the 19' minute to bring the score to 2-0 at the break.
The Warrior defense was not giving Cornerstone any chance of a comeback in the second half only allowing a CU season low three shots. Rochester offensively found the net one more time in the second half to bring the final score to 3-0 handing Cornerstone their first loss on the year.
