ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Junior
Claire Niergarth finished off her best 36-hole tournament with a career-low round of 90 on Wednesday morning at the league's second jamboree. The finish was part of a team score of 423 which was 23 shots better than the opening round on Tuesday. CU will resume play at WHAC Jamboree #3 on October 7-8 at Aquinas' LE Kaufman GC.
Claire Niergarth posted a 95 on Tuesday which was her second lowest career score and today she lowered it by five to set a new mark. The junior complete the 36-hole tourney with a total of 185 which was good for T-34th place finish. As a team, Cornerstone lowered their score by 23 shots to finish at 423.
Joining Niergarth in scoring were
Jesse Sheridan (106),
Whitney Krieger (110) and
Monica Anderson (117).
Indiana Tech won the event with a two-day total of 625 (325-300) while Madonna (638) was second followed by UNOH (641), Siena Heights (644) and Lawrence Tech (656).
