Scouting Davenport
The Panthers have been outstanding in the early season holding an 8-0-1, 1-0-0 record so far this year. The Davenport defense is suffocating as they already have a fifth best in the NAIA six shutouts this season allowing just three goals all season to their opponents. Offensively Katherine Steiner and Shameeka Fishley do it all for DU as they have a combined 13 goals and six assists between the two of them. Last time out Davenport took down Lourdes 3-2 in their conference opener.

Kelly Capoccia is the leader of Madonna as she is the only player with more than tem points recording fourteen so far this season. Keeper Julia Stewart has been solid this season as well recording 28 saves in six starts to go along with a .824 save percentage.

History Against Rivals
Cornerstone will be taking on two of their biggest rivals this week in Davenport and Madonna. CU has had two separate stories recording an 8-3-4 record all-time against Davenport and an 8-20-5 record against Madonna. In 2015 Cornerstone went 1-1 against these two conference foes beating Davenport 2-0 and falling to Madonna 3-1.

Statistically Speaking
CU continues to have a balanced attack as three Golden Eagles have eight points on the year. Bria West, Lexanna Siemasz, and Morgan Haddad have all recorded a team high three goals and two assists this season. As a team, the Golden Eagles continue to put shots up ranking 18th in the country in shots on goal averaging 11.1 per game. Morgan Haddad has been best for CU with 78.9% of her shots being on goal this season.

Around the WHAC
Conference play started last Saturday as we head to the middle of the soccer season. Around the WHAC, Davenport picked up a 3-2 win over Lourdes while other crosstown rival suffered a 3-0 loss to No. 4 UNOH on the opening day of conference play. No. 19 Siena Heights also looked strong defeating Madonna 2-0, while Concordia took down Indiana Tech 2-1.
