Scouting Dearborn
In his first full season as head coach, Jordan Sweeney and his young roster have struggled as of late, losing 11 of their last 12 for a 4-13, 1-8 WHAC record on the year. The Wolverine roster is composed of all young local talent, as there is not a single senior on the team and every member of the 14 player roster is from the state of Michigan. The inside game of sophomore forward Emily Heinrich is what UMD does best, as Heinrich averages a team high 9.2 PPG and 6.2 RPG. Dearborn also succeeds in creating turnovers, as three UMD players have recorded over 20 steals this season giving the team a total of 177 on the year to rank 14th best in the nation.

History vs. UMD
UM-Dearborn is a team that the Golden Eagles have dominated as of late, winning nine of the last ten match-ups. Head Coach Katie Mattera is 7-1 vs. UMD in her five year reign, with the only loss coming in the 2012-13 season when CU fell 59-52 in Mol Arena. Cornerstone is very fond of UMD-Gymnasium as they have never lost in that arena dating back to the 2001-02 season.

Opponent: Davenport University
Date: Saturday, January 7, 2017
Time: 1:00 p.m. EST
Location: Grand Rapids, Mich. (DU Student Center)
Internet Coverage: Live Video/Stats

Scouting the Panthers
Davenport is once again one of the best in the nation this season ranking No. 7 in the NAIA and posting a perfect 8-0 conference record so far this year. The large 25 girl Davenport roster is very young this year with only four seniors, but that has not stopped them from succeeding as they average just over 23 points per game more than their opponents. The Panthers do the fundamentals very well, ranking top three in the nation in total rebounds, total assists, and total blocks this season. Individually, DU spreads the wealth very well as five different players average above 9.2 PPG, four players have over 30 assists on the year, and three players bring down over 6.5 rebounds per game.

History vs. the Rival
Davenport has been near unbeatable for the Golden Eagles lately, as CU has gone just 1-8 under head coach Katie Mattera. Cornerstone has lost their last six match-ups vs. DU, most recently falling 86-55 in the final regular season game of the year last season.

DU Holiday Classic Results
The top ranked Saints of Saint Francis came out victorious in the DU Holiday Classic posting a 2-0 record with a win over Cornerstone followed by a 68-56 win over the host No. 7 Davenport. Davenport and Bethel both completed the tournament at 1-1, while Cornerstone went 0-2.

Sheridan's Road to 1,000
Sophomore Jesse Sheridan is looking to become just the 24th member of the Golden Eagle 1,000 point club, and is on pace to be the quickest to do so. Sheridan broke the freshman scoring record previously held by Brooke Carter last season, and has added 259 points this season to total 734 in her career. Sheridan has 14 regular season games remaining this season to try to tally 266 more points to become the first sophomore to complete the feat.

Road Struggles
CU is set to begin a three game conference road trip and they have struggled away from home this season going just 2-6 on road/neutral sites, while being 6-2 at home. Under Coach Katie Mattera, CU is 38-34 all-time on the road.
